The Awel Môr is a large Victorian Guest House dating back to the late 1800’s. Our accommodation is located in an enviable position directly on the sea front, close to the historic Criccieth Castle in the delightfully unspoilt seaside town of Criccieth on the Lleyn Peninsula.

Criccieth is nestled between the harbour towns of Pwllheli and Porthmadog and is an ideal base for touring the Lleyn Peninsula and Snowdon National Park or for just simply relaxing on one of its two award winning beaches that are separated by the historic Criccieth castle.

attractions include the famous Snowdon Mountain Railway, which takes you
to the summit of the highest mountain in England and Wales. The
picturesque village and gardens of Portmeirion with its colourful buildings
and woodland walks are another popular choice with visitors as is the Ffestiniog
Railway and the Welsh Highland Railway with their narrow gauge steam trains.
